Though dengue has not reached alarming proportions, cases of the infection continue to crop up regularly in Dehradun district. The cumulative number of dengue cases has now reached 627, following the identification of three new cases on Saturday. According to the chief medical officer of Dehradun Dr Manoj Kumar Sharma these new cases were reported from various hospitals: two at Himalayan Hospital and one at Kailash Hospital. Among the total cases, 292 have been confirmed in Dehradun, while 335 are from other districts and States.
Currently, 17 patients are receiving treatment for dengue: eight at Himalayan Hospital, three at Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital, three at Kailash Hospital, one at Graphic Era Hospital, one at GDMC Hospital and one at Max Hospita
