MUSKINGUM COUNTY, Ohio — The man accused of shooting a baseball player from Michigan following a game at Muskingum University more than two years ago pleaded guilty to several charges on Friday.
The Muskingum County prosecutor's office said 29-year-old Franklin Grayson, of Jacksonville, Florida, pleaded guilty to attempted murder, four counts of felonious assault, inducing panic, two counts of improperly discharging a firearm in a school safety zone, carrying a concealed weapon and tampering with evidence.
Grayson could face more than 35 years in prison. His sentencing date has not been scheduled.
On March 17, 2023, authorities were called to Mose Moorehead Baseball Field at Muskingum University for a reported shooting.
