NATICK — Any tension the No. 2 Walpole field hockey team might’ve felt from last year’s scoreless tie against Natick — the only game it didn’t win — simmered when it instead focused on giving the other half of its 20 seniors a starting opportunity in the rematch early Saturday morning.

Whatever little tension that remained completely evaporated when that group scored less than two minutes in for the Porkers (15-1), kickstarting a 5-0 Bay State Conference win over the No. 24 RedHawks (12-4-1) in yet another Div. 1 statement.

Goalie Natalie Boyer (16 saves) and a stingy Natick defense limited the damage despite Walpole’s typical starters subbing in, holding off a few long waves of heavy pressure.
