CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - Kane's Krusade held its '2025 Pawsome 5K Festival' at Szot Park in Chicopee Saturday morning, aiming to raise $30,000 to support pet families in need.
The festival is the non-profit's largest fundraiser to address the root causes of pet relinquishment. Since 2011, Kane's Krusade has trained dogs, sponsored local vet care services, and distributed food and equipment to pet families in need.
"So it will go to everything from helping people with vet bills, surgeries and diagnostics, vaccinations, as well as the short-term hotel stays and food, and equipment that people might need," said Kim George, Executive Director and founder of Kane's Krusade.
