What we learned
Tulane keeps finding ways to win on days when it makes enough mistakes to lose. The Green Wave put itself in a hole against Army with several mental and physical mistakes. But Jake Retzlaff completed a pass to Bryce Bohanon on a well-executed fourth-and-8 play to tie the score with 1:54 left, then went 4 of 4 on the winning drive after the defense forced its first three-and-out of the game. Shazz Preston bobbled the winning score twice before snagging it in the end zone. The Wave is living a charmed life, but it is right where it needs to be at 6-1.
