BOISE, Idaho — A car crashed into Modern Apothecary near Winco in downtown Boise on Friday at 3:03 p.m., trapping the owner behind the counter and destroying most of the store's inventory.

The owner, Miranda Adnan, 29, was inside when the crash occurred.

"I was inside and I was screaming," Adnan said. "I saw a car barreling toward me, and it felt like it was in slow motion. I moved to the corner of the store, and the car drove straight in. I was trapped behind the counter until the fire department came and removed the counter."

Almost everything was ruined, including the storefront, the products and the products in the storeroom that Adnan had stocked up for the holiday season. She said it was obliterated.
