PAHOA (HawaiiNewsNow) - Hawaii Island police charged 39-year-old Isaac Kamali‘i of Puna following an incident involving a stolen vehicle on Thursday evening, in the Ainaloa subdivision of Pahoa.
He was charged with theft, unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle, terroristic threatening, and two counts of driving without a valid driver’s license.
Shortly before 5 p.m. on Thursday, a Puna Patrol officer attempting to locate a stolen vehicle observed a car matching the description parked in an open carport at a residence near Aloha Drive.
Kamali‘i, who had previously been identified as the suspect in the case, was seen standing near the vehicle.
