HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Over 200 people gathered Saturday, October 18, for a “No Kings Day” protest of the Trump Administration’s policies in downtown Hastings, according to our reporters on the scene.
Separate protests also occurred in Grand Island and Kearney as part of the second event. Organizers say the protests oppose authoritarian policies. They want to reaffirm that America has no kings and power belongs to the people.
The “No Kings Day” protests in the tri-cities are part of more than 1,900 events that took place across the country, according to the No Kings organization . This is the second “No Kings” protest in 2025.
Organizers say the protests were designed to be non-violent and encourage civic engagement. In Hastings, the event took place on Burlington Avenue downtown, wi
