HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Over 200 people gathered for a “No King” Protest of the Trump Administration’s policies in downtown Hastings on Saturday.
Separate protests also occurred in Grand Island and Kearney as part of the second event.
Organizers said the protests oppose authoritarian policies. They want to reaffirm that America has no kings and power belongs to the people.
The “No Kings” Protests in the tri-cities are part of more than 1,900 events that took place across the country, according to the No Kings organization . This is the second “No Kings” protest in 2025.
Organizers said the protests were designed to be non-violent and encourage civic engagement. In Hastings, the event took place on Burlington Avenue downtown, with attendees arriving up to an hour before the event star
