CLEVELAND — A large crowd gathered in Cleveland’s Public Square Saturday afternoon for the “No Kings” rally — a demonstration organizers say is about pushing back against symbols of power and privilege.

Marchers chanted and waved handmade signs calling for fairness, freedom, and representation. Protesters told News 5 they’re fed up with systems that elevate individuals above others — whether in politics, wealth, or status.

“This isn’t just about foreign monarchies,” one attendee said. “It’s about challenging everyday inequality here at home.”

Deborah Fide, who attended the rally, said she wanted to show support for democracy.
