A pre-season that was good but not great wound up for the Raptors with a 119-114 win over the Brooklyn Nets on Friday and a 4-2 record in an ambitious schedule of six games.

The presumed starting five only played two games together, rookie Collin Murray-Boyles missed the final three games with a strained muscle in his right forearm and there were no out-of-the-blue surprises.

But none of that is disastrous, far from it. There were more positives than negatives and Toronto is poised to start the regular season Wednesday in Atlanta surrounded by a promising aura.
