Malachi Singleton transferred to Purdue football to play, and that chance came Saturday.

The Arkansas transfer in his first season as a Boilermaker took over as quarterback for an injured Ryan Browne , who was crunched by a pair of Northwestern defenders running on an RPO on Purdue's first drive of the third quarter. The Boilers trailed 13-0 and had gained just 60 yards of offense.
