Stunning score at Lawrence Central: I was covering another game (more on that below) but was following along as I saw Lawrence Central was leading Class 6A second-ranked Carmel in the second half. Carmel rallied, driving 68 yards in seven plays to take a 36-33 lead on Josiah Gilmore’s 3-yard touchdown run with 1:35 left. The Greyhounds blocked a 38-yard field goal attempt by the Bears to hold on. What happened? Andrew Pemberton (133 yards) and Gilmore (103 yards) went for more than 100 yards in a 313-yard rushing effort for Carmel.
