KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - The excitement was high in Covenant Health Park as the Knoxville Music Festival brought several R&B, hip-hop and southern soul artists out for fans to enjoy on Saturday.
“I am excited because we needed this. With myself and my cousin as a senior, they haven’t had anything for us to do. This is so wonderful that they bring in these people here,” said Gwen Celmons.
The festival began with a pre-show that showcased talent from around East Tennessee. This was followed up by a handful of other artists, including Boozie, Cupid and Pokey Bear.
“Well, hopefully this won’t be the last, and they see how much we came out and supported,” said Clemons.
The event brought in many fans of classic artists.
