Aedan Dorwart netted the game-winning goal in double overtime to propel second-seeded Voorhees to a 1-0 victory over 11th-seeded Pope John in the semifinal round of the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex County Tournament in Glen Gardner.
Voorhees punched its ticket to the championship match where it will clash with top-seeded Hunterdon Central, which knocked off fourth-seeded Delaware Valley by an identical 1-0 score, on Saturday at a neutral field in Sparta.
Both teams recorded seven shots on goal. Jake Korfin turned aside all seven Pope John shots to record the shutout for Voorhees (11-4).
Pope John drops to 8-7 and will resume its regular season schedule on Wednesday when it visits Morris Knolls.
