3PHILADELPHIA, PA — A 27-year-old man was shot and killed Friday morning inside a SEPTA train station at 15th and Market Streets, prompting a swift investigation that led to the suspect’s surrender later that day, authorities said.

Officers arrived around 7:25 a.m. after reports of a person with a gun and found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.

He was taken to Jefferson Hospital, where he died from his injuries at 10:43 a.m., police confirmed.
