HUNTSVILLE, Ala. ( WAFF ) - According to reports, a search-and-rescue operation is currently underway in Montana after a Huntsville family’s plane crashed.
Powell County Sheriff’s Office (Montana) told WAFF 48 a plane dropped off the radar Friday afternoon, and a crash scene was found Saturday morning in a very remote area of Bob Marshall Wilderness, where there is no cell signal.
Authorities did not identify any of the passengers or the pilot. But according to several reports, the pilot is from Huntsville and some of his family was on board.
First responders are still on their way to the area.
