More than 13,000 runners from 49 states and 21 countries were welcomed to a lot of cheers and even more smiles as they navigated over 35 miles of Baltimore for the 25th Baltimore Running Festival.
The day began with the with the 5K race and ended with the 26.2-mile marathon. Steve Mance from Washington D.C. won his first marathon on the men's side.
"I've been running since 1998, I'm 41 years old and it's never stopped, so I stopped by here," Mance said.
For the women's race, 37-year-old Rachel Cluett from Montgomery County, took home the win, just a short time later.
"My goal is just to be competitive, and I tried to take it really easy at the beginning and just hung with it," Cluett said.
As she was pacing herself, crowds were doing the same with their voices. Lynn Rosas
