Returning to Indianapolis for this year's Franciscan Bowl, the No. 11 Knights atoned for those perceived wrongs, forcing six USF turnovers in shutting out the No. 24 Cougars 49-0, handing USF its most lopsided loss in program history.
“We couldn’t get in front of it,” USF head coach Adam Sherman said. “It was quicksand. The more you try to do, the further in you go.”
