COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Family and friends are urgently trying to find Dr. Melanie Nadler Litt, a dentist who has not been seen since earlier this week.

Nadler lives in Cobb County and works in neighboring Paulding County at Family Dentistry at Seven Hills in Dallas. Cobb County Police told 11Alive that Nadler was reported missing on Oct. 13.

Her friends said she didn't show up for work on Tuesday. When officers conducted a welfare check, friends said Nadler, her vehicle and wallet were missing. Her phone was located at the home.

At some point, friends said Nadler's vehicle was found abandoned in a parking lot along Barrett Parkway in Cobb County.

Cobb County police said they are actively investigating her disappearance but have not released details about where or when
