Molly Savaryn recorded a hat trick and tacked on an assist to spark eighth-seeded North Plainfield to a 4-1 win against ninth-seeded Piscataway in the opening round of the Greater Middlesex Conference Tournament in North Plainfield.

The win advances North Plainfield to the quarterfinal round where it will visit top-seeded Old Bridge, which had a first-round bye.
