ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) -St. Louis SC announced on Saturday that it has re-signed team captain and goalkeeper, Roman Bürki, for a two-year contract extension to 2027 with a club option in 2028.
Bürki has been with City SC since its inagural MLS season in 2023. Before joining City SC, Bürki had seven years with Borussia Dortmund.
“Every day I step on the pitch, I feel the support and passion from the city and our incredible fans, and it pushes me to be the best I can for this team,” said Bürki. “It’s an honor to wear this badge. I believe in this club’s future and want to play a key part in helping it achieve its goals.”
Over three seasons, Bürki has had 89 regular-season appearances, 322 recorded saves and 19 shutouts.
In 2023, Bürki was named Allstate MLS Goalkeeper of the Year
