A senior Coalition MP has called for the Albanese government to help Palestinian refugees in Australia return "back to their country, where they belong”.
Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke revealed on Thursday that as many as 700 more Gazan refugees would arrive in Australia in the future.
But newly promoted shadow home affairs minister Jonathan Dunium told Sky News Australia that the peace deal agreed to by Israel and Hamas needed to be “taken into account” when it came to Australia’s acceptance of Palestinian refugees.
