SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The Fighting Irish defeated USC 34 to 24, with both teams trading blows throughout the night. CJ Carr completed 15 of 23 passes for 127 yards, with one interception and one touchdown.

USC quarterback Jayden Maiava was 18 of 21, throwing two touchdowns and one interception. Running back Jeremiyah Love rushed for 186 yards and scored one touchdown. Running back Jadarian Price also scored a touchdown after a big 100-yard kickoff return.

The Irish improved to 5-2 on the season and have a bye week before facing Boston College. Share
