Lake Center Christian's Gianna Ritchie beat a future college teammate to win an OHSAA district cross country title.

Marlington's Irelyn Johnson, Canton South's Logan Howard and Louisville's Kylah Meyer also won district titles Saturday at GlenOak.

Several area teams advanced to next week's Boardman regional.

For now, Lake Center Christian's Gianna Ritchie and Heartland Christian's Rebecca Geiss are battling their way through the high school cross country postseason. Don't be surprised if they see a lot of each other ahead of the pack in the coming weeks.
