Dalkeith has retained its title as Perth’s most expensive suburb to rent but new data across the golden triangle shows one area has had a surprising jump in affordability.
Recent statistics released as part of Domain’s quarterly rent report confirmed the most expensive home rentals were mostly in suburbs across Perth’s western suburbs.
At the top was Dalkeith with an average of $1425 rent per week, followed by Swanbourne, City Beach, and Mt Claremont — which were all within the $1300 range.
Two suburbs in Joondalup then outranked Cottesloe, Wembley Downs, Churchlands and Nedlands to round out the top 10 for Perth.
But costs weren’t high and rising everywhere, with Mosman Park homes reportedly having the most improved rental affordability with a decrease of 2.8 per cent, down to $875 pe
