The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a weather warning for parts of WA while showers and thunderstorms are set to lash Perth and the South West.

The bureau has issued wind warnings for the Pilbara and Ningaloo Coasts, warning the areas could face winds between 48 and 62km/hr throughout Sunday and Monday.

Meanwhile, Perth is set to experience a drenching through Sunday, with thunderstorms across the city expected for Monday.

Wind speeds are anticipated to reach between 20 to 30km/hr for those in Perth on Sunday.

In WA’s South West, people are being told to anticipate heavy rains.

The Bridgetown area has already experienced 8.4mm in rainfall between 9am and 11am on Sunday, with Bunbury following close behind with 5.5mm during the same period.
