MAYFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio -- Fall has become known in the Hillcrest area as the chili season. Not chilly, but chili -- as in the Annual Community Partnership on Aging ’s Famous Fire Department Chili Cook-off.
This year’s Cook-off will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23 at the Mayfield Heights Aquatic & Community Center, 6080 Marsol Road. Doors open at 5 p.m.
Tickets for the fundraiser, available at the door, are $45 per person.
In addition to chili, pizza, salad and cornbread will be served. The event will include a cash bar, side boards and raffle packages.
Competing for the top chili awards will be fire departments from each of the communities served by the CPA -- Highland Heights, Mayfield Village, South Euclid, Mayfield Heights, Lyndhurst and Richmond Heights.
