After yet another close loss, Auburn football continues to regress.

Saturday’s 23-17 loss to Missouri was Auburn’s fourth in a row, dropping it to 3-4 on the season and 0-4 in SEC play. It’s the third straight season Auburn has started 0-4 in conference play, as head coach Hugh Freeze falls to 5-15 against SEC opponents at Auburn.

Speculation about his job security has picked up with each loss, and he was asked after Saturday’s defeat what his message to the fanbase is to convince them that he and his staff are still right for Auburn.

"We all know what we signed up for. I certainly know we fit what Auburn is all about," Freeze said, starting his lengthy response to the question. "But Auburn is also about winning football. We’re gonna come to work Monday and get our kids ready to play
