Since it premiered earlier this month, Riot Women has become one of the most talked-about British dramas of the year (which, when you consider that 2025 has given us the likes of The Hack , Dept Q , Toxic Town , MobLand and the juggernaut that was Adolescence , is saying something).

The latest offering from Sally Wainwright, the Bafta-winning creative mind behind hit shows like Gentleman Jack, Last Tango In Halifax and Happy Valley, the BBC series centres around a group of women approaching old age, who decide to channel their collective resentments into putting together a punk rock band.
