TOWN OF ROCK, Wis. (WKOW) — Four people are injured after a serious traffic crash Friday evening involving a Jeep Cherokee and a Kia Sorento, according to Rock County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities say the incident happened around 5:18 p.m. on S USH 51 near W Terrington Drive.

A 17-year-old from Beloit was driving the Jeep northbound when it crossed the center line, colliding with the southbound Kia driven by a 42-year-old from Janesville.

Four people were injured and received treatment at local hospitals, Rock County Sheriff's said.

The driver of the Kia sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash temporarily closed a section of S USH 51 for over an hour as authorities investigated and cleared the scene.

The investigation is still under investigation.
