Star left-handed batter and Indian women’s cricket team vice-captain Smriti Mandhana is all set to marry Indian music composer Palash Muchhal. The news was confirmed by Palash himself recently in Indore. Mandhana, who is representing the Indian women’s cricket team in the ongoing ICC Women’s ODI World Cup, is in Indore these days, and on Sunday (October 19), she will take the field against England at the city’s Holkar Stadium.

Ahead of the Indian team’s high-voltage match against the Nat Sciver-Brunt-led side, Palash confirmed the news of his wedding to Smriti.

During an event at the State Press Club in Indore on Friday, Muchhal, who hails from the city, was asked about his bond with Smriti, and he said, “She will soon become the daughter-in-law of Indore… that’s all I want to say."
