Georgia football coach Kirby Smart missed an opportunity Saturday night.

He should have brought a big slice of chocolate cake into the postgame press conference, put a candle in it and blew it out to celebrate the Bulldogs’ 43-35 heart-thumping victory over Ole Miss on Oct. 18 .

His friend and Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin took a light-hearted shot at Smart’s weight when he was asked on Monday about which of the two head coaches burn more calories on the sideline.

Smart took it in stride.

That was evident when he wrapped up his postgame press conference after the No. 9 Bulldogs scored 17 fourth-quarter points and rallied for the win.

“I do want to thank Lane, though,” Smart said. “At the end of the game, he gave me some hot yoga tickets.”
