GTA VI could be the very first game in history to cost an above-premium price given how long it’s been in development for and the technology it’s used.

Rockstar Games is a studio responsible for some of the most impactful and memorable games to ever grace a console or PC, from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas to Red Dead Redemption 2.

The studio has stunned fans with its open-world design and the attention to detail continues to improve over time.

That said, as exciting as it is that we’ll be able to play GTA VI in 2026 I don’t think anyone is keen on paying $100 for it if it can be helped.

The creator of Saints Row, Chris Stockman, disagrees though, as he recently told Esports Insider that if a game was going to cost that much Rockstar is the only studio that could “get away with it.”
