Yuma County has renewed its long-standing agreement with the Humane Society of Yuma to provide animal kenneling and rabies control services for the county’s animal control operations.
The Board of Supervisors recently approved a $180,000 contract with the Humane Society, covering services from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026.
The agreement supports enforcement of the county’s animal control ordinances and ensures the safe housing and care of stray or quarantined animals.
“This continues a long-standing arrangement between Yuma County and the Humane Society for kenneling, general animal care and rabies quarantine services tied to the county’s animal control,” said Yuma County Administrator Ian McGaughey. “It’s a $180,000 agreement that covers one year – really more of a routine renew
