Jammu, Oct 19: Jammu Police have successfully cracked two major drug networks, arresting eight accused—including women peddlers—and recovering heroin worth crores, a police spokesperson said on Sunday.
The operations were carried out in Rajeev Nagar (Bahu Fort) and RS Pura areas, resulting in the seizure of substantial narcotics and the arrest of five drug peddlers, including hardcore and chronic offenders.
In one operation, Vishal Kumar of Rajeev Nagar, Narwal, was arrested near Wave Mall with 275 grams of heroin and an electronic weighing machine. During interrogation, he disclosed that he procured the contraband from Reena of Rajeev Nagar, Narwal.
