Bhopal, Oct 19: A major political controversy has erupted after former Bhopal MP Pragya Singh Thakur made shocking remarks urging parents to prevent their daughters from visiting the homes of “non-Hindus” — even suggesting that they “break their legs” if they disobey.
Speaking at a religious event in Bhopal earlier this month, the BJP leader stirred outrage by telling parents to use physical force on their daughters “for their own good” if they went against family or religious values.
“Strengthen your minds and make them firm enough that if our daughter does not obey us, if she goes to a non-Hindu’s house, leave no stone unturned in considering breaking her legs,” Thakur is heard saying in a video that has since gone viral on social media. “Those who d
