Breezy northwest winds will stick around today keeping things feeling cool even as full sunshine returns for your Sunday afternoon.

A cold front blasted across the state last night bringing some brief showers as well as northwest winds that gusted up to 40mph at times. Winds aren't quite as strong this morning, generally 10 to 20mph, but still breezy enough to drop wind chills into the 30s for much of the state. Temperatures will be in the low and mid-40s this morning for any athletes coming out for the Des Moines Marathon. Skies are clear, and that means we'll see lots of sunshine all day, even if it is feeling a little cooler.
