Remnants of a once vibrant mural honoring the life and legacy of African Americans within Arlington's Hall’s Hill-High View Park neighborhood is now reduced to cinderblocks.
The removal is due to a modernization improvement project at the McDonald’s location along Langston Boulevard.

The remaining bricks show a small portion of life inside the community, like one section that highlights some of the city’s first Black firefighters. It also includes young boys and girls a part of the Langston-Brown Community Center, the neighborhood Turkey Bowl and abolitionist and Howard Law professor John Mercer Langston.
