British holidaymakers were left stuck queueing in airport for over two hours after landing in Europe due to new post- Brexit checks.
Post-Brexit fingerprint and facial scans under the EU’s entry/exit system (EES), where launched on 12 October.
The new checks were introduced last week and will be gradually rolled out across the bloc’s ports and airports over the next six months.
But passengers landing at Geneva Airport on Saturday faced huge delays as they queued to use kiosks where their EES data would be taken.
One passenger told The i Paper queues at the Swiss airport were “a traveller’s worst nightmare” after he and his family stood with hundreds of others for over two hours.
Long delays from EES checks have also been reported in Lisbon, Milan and Prague as the much-delayed
