Air India is operating a special flight from Milan in Italy to bring stranded 256 passengers who have been stuck there since last Friday to Delhi. The legacy AI Boeing 787 Dreamliner (VT-ANN) earlier developed a technical issue on landing in Milan due to which it could not operate the return flight to Delhi, stranding all passengers who were coming home for Diwali.

“Air India will operate an additional flight from Milan to Delhi today, 19 October, to accommodate passengers of flight AI138, which was cancelled on 17 October due to a technical issue,” the airline said on Sunday.

“Flight AI138D will depart from Milan at 1900 hrs (local time) (10:30 pm IST) and arrive in Delhi on the morning of 20 October,” it added.
