(WCMH) — We are officially less than 250 days away from the biggest sporting event in the world as the FIFA World Cup's opening game on June 11 is fast approaching.

As we get closer to the 104-game tournament that will be hosted across North America, new teams punched their tickets to the 2026 World Cup in October. Among them is a team some people expect to hoist the trophy on July 19 at MetLife Stadium and another has made their nation proud qualifying for the first time.
