To help Jays fans get to the ballpark, Metrolinx has deferred track work planned for Sunday afternoon for that would have closed portions of the Lakeshore West line on game day.
To work on replacing the Etobicoke Creek bridge, scheduled track work initially disrupted service to the Lakeshore West line for the entire weekend. However, Metrolinx has resumed regular train service starting at 11 a.m., making it easier to get in and out of the city for Game 6 of the American League Championship Series.
This is not the first time Metrolinx has paused track work along the Lakeshore West line. For ALCS games 1 and 2, the transportation agency once again halted track work to make it easier for Blue Jays fans get in and out of the city.
