Auburn led Missouri 14-10 in the fourth quarter with a chance to possibly take a possible two-score lead over Missouri. However, a decision to kick a field goal after falling short at the one-yard line set the stage for what Auburn does best: finding ways to lose.
Auburn’s next two offensive drives of regulation resulted in punts as the Tigers gained just 35 yards. After a defensive stop forced overtime, Auburn closed out the game with just -5 yards in both overtimes.
