• Loveland resident Charles Hamann was inducted into the Colorado Motorsports Hall of Fame. The 75-year-old had been around cars and engines all his life, spending more than 50 years building and racing machines. Though retired, he was recognized for his contributions to the motorsports community. “I was honored. If you look at past inductees, there aren’t that many drag racers that have been inducted,” he said. “They’re more pro-stock car racing, NASCAR, Indy Car, stuff like that, so I was surprised. It was indeed an honor and quite a ceremony.”
