A woman has been fatally stabbed in Hornchurch, East London, leading to the arrest of her husband. Agne Druskienea was pronounced dead after emergency services responded to the incident on Saturday evening.
Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service were called to a residential property on Cranham Road at approximately 1:04 am on Saturday, 18 October. Despite the efforts of emergency workers, Agne was declared dead at the scene shortly after their arrival.
Her husband, 43-year-old Augustinas Druskis, has been charged with murder and is scheduled to appear at Barkingside Magistrates' Court on Monday. While formal identification of the victim has not yet occurred, Agne has been named, and her next of kin have been informed and are receiving support from specialist officers.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police Service stated, "The man – who was married to the victim – was arrested at the scene."
