If Arizona Democrats are hoping for a blue wave in the 2026 elections to hang onto statewide offices and stymie the final two years of President Donald Trump's administration in Washington, they will need to attract a trove of voters who aren’t part of their party.
About a year before votes are cast in 2026, Democrats have fallen even further behind Republicans in voter registration across the state and are well behind their own 2018 trajectory, when the party made notable gains during the midterm elections of Trump's first term.
