The Vancouver Canucks will be without one of their top attacking pieces as they square off against the Washington Capitals.

Forward Brock Boeser has been ruled out of Sunday afternoon’s showdown due to personal reasons, the team announced ahead of the game.

Already in the bottom half in goals scored this season, the Canucks have leaned on Boeser’s offensive production early on.

The 28-year-old is tied for the team lead in goals with three and is second in average time on ice for forwards with 19:37, behind only Conor Garland.

After a 40-goal season in 2023-24, Boeser finished with 25 goals and 25 assists in 75 games last year.
