US President Donald Trump on Sunday called Colombian President Gustavo Petro an “illegal drug peddler" and announced that he would be slashing the US funding to Colombia as the country’s leader “does nothing to stop" drug production.

In a post on Truth Social, the US President said that Petro is “low rated and very unpopular." He further alleged that the drug trade has become “the biggest business in Colombia, by far."
