An Idris Elba thriller that left critics and casual moviegoers divided is currently sitting at number 10 on Netflix's trending films chart.

While Elba is one of the most celebrated English actors, his projects haven't always been well-received. Such is the case for the 2014 crime drama , No Good Deed.

Written by Aimée Lagos and directed by Sam Miller, it follows an unsuspecting woman who lets a handsome stranger into her home to use the phone.

But she soon starts to believe the expression "no good deed goes unpunished" when the stranger takes over her home and terrorises her family, according to the synopsis.
